INTERNSHIP

Each year Acadiana Fashion Week accept application.

Meet our interns for the AFW 6

Benefits of being an Intern:

  • You will gain exposure to real-world problems and issues that perhaps are not found in textbooks.

  • Cultivate adaptability and creativity in a dynamic world.

  • Increase marketability to employers. On average, only 30% of graduating seniors have job offers before graduation; however, after completing an internship, that figure rises to 58%.

  • Ease transition from being a student to entering the workforce.

  • Increase opportunities within a company for faster advancement and growth.

  • Increase self-confidence in the workplace while developing an expanded network of associates and professionals.

  • Have résumé-building experiences while applying academic concepts and principles.

  • Have personal growth experiences and exposure to different job opportunities.

  • Have hands-on opportunities to work with equipment and technology that may not be available on campus.

Anne-Marie Auer

Head Intern

I am ULL alumni who graduated in Arts and Humanities who has a passion for all of the delicate intricacies within the fashion industry!  I thrive behind the scenes and much prefer my creative process to be structurally astute.  I love to shoot film photography in my spare time, as it is one of the purest art forms that can truly encapsulate a moment in time.  I’ve been with AFW for over a year now and I cannot think of a more inclusive, ever changing, and loving organization to be apart of!

Kamryn Eugene is a 19 year old native of Lafayette, Louisiana. She currently is a sophomore at Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College where she majors in Fashion Merchandising and minors in Broadcast Journalism. On campus Kamryn serves as a Jaguar Ambassador, assisting the Office of Admissions. When she graduates, Kamryn plans to begin her career in the fashion industry as a fashion director and later plans to develop her own luxury handbag line

My name is Krysten Theunissen! I have been modeling for about 5 years and have been part of the AFW family for about 4 years, serving as an ambassador for 3 of those years! Along with modeling, I attend McNeese State University for Mass Communication with a concentration in public relations! I absolutely love serving as the social media intern here at AFW, and I look forward to many more exciting things to come in the future!

My name is Akilah Morris and I’m a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. I’m a recent graduate of UL Lafayette and I plan to attend graduate school soon. As my career starts a main goal of mine is to stay connected with my community and offer my help when I can. Being a part of Acadiana Fashion Week helps with that and so much more. I’m excited to be a part of something bigger than me in my hometown and meet so many new people this year.
