Morgan Pete is an author, public figure, women’s activist, entrepreneur and graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a major in Biology.

She is the Founder of Acadiana Fashion Week that has successfully showcased the talent of designers throughout the United States. The reason for Acadiana Fashion Week is to showcase talent here and bring more people to our state so that they can witness the beauty. So many people hear Louisiana and doesn’t think fashion, and that’s what she wants to change. This is also why she created the tagline #fashionishere. Louisiana is filled with talented creatives , models, stylists, designers, etc and having a fashion week here is an experience in itself.

Morgan created a non-profit organization called Sky is NOT the Limit to help young adults in the community with resources to motivate them to go after their goals.

She later signed a contract with Your Time Publishing and published the book, Nothing Like A Little Bit of Confidence: Living Past Society’s Definition of Beauty. Nothing Like A Little Bit of Confidence was written to help young adults learn the importance of inner confidence and to help them truly understand that it doesn’t matter how they are portrayed by others, but to love themselves for exactly who they are. In 2018, she released her second book Lucid Waters.

She has modeled in many fashion shows and hosted model camps and motivational seminars. She has an award named after her called The MorganPete Award that recognizes someone who is deeply rooted in the community that is given out at the Southern Tea Awards each year.

She recently founded the first Fashion Institute in Louisiana called The Fashion Institute of Louisiana which is set to open in 2022.

Johnetta George is a Louisiana native and about 7 years ago, she decided it was time to go after her dream. Each girl has a story and she is blessed to share hers with the world. She has been through a lot, from losing her mom at a young age to losing her dad a few years later. She had two choices to make: she could either give up and stop chasing her goals or be strong and be a role model. She graduated from Charter High School and then went back to school for cosmetology and phlebotomy. Johnetta has been featured in Miami Fashion Week, Dillard’s Fashion Show, Summer Splash Fashion Show and more. She has also been featured in 008 Magazine for Breast Cancer Awareness and has started a nonprofit organization to bring awareness to breast cancer called The Gail Foundation.
